The tick remover pen from Trixie is specially designed for easy, safe tick removal. It works in the same way as the TRIX tick remover, but is cheaper. To remove the tick, you push the "pen" slide down and a nylon loop extends from the pen tip. Place this around the tick and pull the slide up to enclose the tick in the nylon loop. Press the pen tip in towards the tick and twist the pen around the tick. The tick is then held in the retracted nylon loop for safe disposal.

How does this compare with other tick removers?

We have tried is and it worked well.

This tick removal tool with keyring attachment, helps to ensure that you'll always have a tick removal tool available - attached to your keys. It works the same way as the O'tom tick remover. You slide the grove over between the tick head and the skin, and then twist it around to safely and effectively remove the tick.

How does it compare? We have used this and it does work effectively. And again, it's better to have something to hand. It feels that the O'tom tick remover is finer, and perhaps more likely to work better - but then that's not with a proper trial. It's certainly better to have this to hand than worry about needing to remove a tick and perhaps having to use tweezers.
