Many of us struggle with the hectic pace of our lives and the stresses that go with it. Animals are no different. They have instinctive needs that are often overlooked in the hustle and bustle of our lives.  Dogs in particular have the need for companionship and interaction with their owners and other animals and if unable to practice natural behaviours will quickly find alternative behaviours that may be undesirable.

At the core of my work is the scientific acknowledgment that animals have emotions and as result all CAPBT members use a method that focuses on your pet’s emotional system.

Each animal is treated as an individual taking into account what it is bred to do and it’s personality type. This technique also focuses on what the animal is actually learning (often this is not what we think) and what is reinforcing the undesirable behaviour. Each programme is then tailored specifically to meet the needs of you and your pet.

Because some behaviours are due to medical conditions I can only work with a vet referral so it may be necessary for you to have your pet checked by a vet prior to a consultation.

The first appointment takes approx 2-3 hours as I will need to build up a clear picture of your pet's life.  You will receive written reports at each stage and reports are also copied to your vet. Email and phone support are also included in the price. Follow up sessions are charged per hour.

Please note that  training dogs is hard work and often it can take time and patience to achieve the end result.

Price: £60 for a consultation and £40 per hour thereafter.
